SPS Wins State of Texas Investigation Information Collection System (IICS) ContractFalls Church, VA, November 1, 2004 – Software Performance Systems, Inc. (SPS) announced today that it was selected as the winner of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) contract for the Investigation Information Collection System (IICS) project. Sid Chowdhary, Vice President of the State and Local Government Division of SPS said, "This is an exciting win for SPS and allows us to venture into leading-edge technology platforms. This win also provides a big boost to our Mobile Systems Practice, that will help our customers extend their enterprise systems, and build new ones to their mobile workforce on the field.” IICS is a mobile (handheld) application that will allow investigators to capture investigation data electronically in the field, instead of collecting data on paper and re-entering it into the system when they get back to the office. This application is designed for the Microsoft PocketPC platform, and will interface with server-side Advantage Gen services via Web Services Architecture. The technical architecture is designed to maximize use of current mobile technology to achieve business benefits, while remaining flexible enough to allow different mobile devices in the future, expansion of services, and expansion to web or portal systems. The winning SPS Team consists of Sentari Technologies, our Mentor-protégé partner, and The OMT Group, our Mobile Systems development partner. About SPS Contact Information |
