SPS To Provide Internet-Based Solutions For The Bureau of Export AdministrationArlington, VA, May 29, 2001 – Software Performance Systems, Inc. (SPS) announced today that it was awarded a five-year contract by the Bureau of Export Administration (BXA) to develop Internet-based, enterprise, e-Government solutions. The procurement was part of the COMMITS (Commerce Information Technology Solutions) program, an information technology multiple award contract set aside exclusively for small businesses. SPS succeeded in a highly competitive selection process, and after being down-selected into a group of finalists, SPS delivered a technical presentation to twelve government panelists. The web-based, e-Government solutions SPS will provide to BXA will adhere to the Rational Unified Process (RUP), including the use of Rational toolsets. SPS is a Rational partner, and has made use of the RUP process on other projects. The system architecture BXA and SPS choose will build on either Microsoft DNA or a Java-based architecture similar to those being developed on other SPS projects. "We are excited to begin our relationship with the Bureau of Export Administration,” said Joe Linza, Vice President of SPS's Strategic Solutions Division. “This provides SPS with a long-term opportunity to help our BXA client develop an enterprise software development process as well as a system development infrastructure.” About SPS Contact Information |
