SPS Completes a Successful First Year on the TCEQ Advantage Gen Maintenance Contract

Falls Church, VA, September 9, 2004 – SPS Texas Team members completed another very successful year for the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and the first year of our Advantage Gen Maintenance Contract!

According to Sid Chowdhary, Vice President, SPS State and Local Government Division, "It was not easy transitioning TCEQ from multiple contracts (and vendors) to one contract while maintaining and supporting all of their critical systems, some of which were not built to the same high standards as ours and needed additional attention.” Yet, TCEQ is among one of SPS's oldest and most satisfied customers thanks to the efforts of our team in providing consistently superb support!

TCEQ had awarded SPS a contract in August 2003, to maintain and enhance all eight of their mission-critical environmental management systems. This contract has a two-year duration, with two additional one-year options, and makes SPS solely responsible for supporting all of TCEQ's systems. This contract solidifies our environmental practice and our presence in Texas, as well as our partnership with Sentari Technologies, our HUB mentor/protégé partner.

SPS looks forward to the new fiscal year and new opportunities that will help us grow bigger in Texas.
