SPS Supports European Patent Office (EPO) with XML (ST36 DOCDB) Document Exchange Design

Falls Church, VA, May 2005 - In May 2005, the EPO awarded a task to SPS to design the ST36 DOCDB exchange schemas to facilitate the exchange of patent data between the EPO and its customers. SPS designed and delivered XML schemas from a set of common components based on the International Common Elements (ICE) as defined in WIPO ST.36 and Annex F of the Patent Cooperation Treaty.
