SPS offers full life-cycle development of federal government solutions and commercial products using Microsoft Visual Studio.NET, Visual Basic.NET, and ASP.NET. SPS-built solutions use a component-based methodology supported by .NET development tools and technologies. Due to the ease of reuse within .NET and the application of Microsoft Patterns and Practices, these solutions are highly maintainable, enabling SPS to bring new features to market quickly.

Featured Solutions

Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) - Pocket PC
TCEQ inspectors needed light, yet functionally rich, handheld devices to help ensure that site inspections addressed Federal and State statutory requirements, scientific analysis, and TCEQ administrative and reporting needs. TCEQ desired to use devices already owned to the maximum extent. Devices were to be used by multiple inspectors, and each inspector required functionality specific to the inspector's environmental media specialty.

SPS used .NET to create a Pocket PC 2003 application that will interface with Web services to perform environmental inspections on-site. SPS selected the Microsoft.NET compact framework because it offers a collection of reusable classes that enable developers to quickly and easily develop applications for mobile devices.

Commercial Products
Golf course and resort management companies required automated support for membership, tee time reservations, inventory management, and point of sales. IT resources, forms, and functions differ for each company, although ease of use, rapid response, and low price are common requirements for all.

For these clients, SPS used .NET XML Web Services to connect heterogeneous golf reservation systems into one central web site for golf tee time reservations. All communications are performed with Web Services using the Open Travel Alliance (OTA) XML schema and a service interface implementation for a Table Data Gateway pattern.

Legacy Digital interNet Applications (DNA)
Many organizations developed applications using the Microsoft DNA architecture. Because Microsoft replaced DNA with the .NET architecture, these organizations would like to migrate from DNA to .NET.

SPS applied .NET Web Services to wrap Component Object Model (COM) business components, so the business logic can be called from a .NET presentation layer. This approach preserved the business investment in the business logic layer of the application.
